Here is another Expo highlight: Meet the Scientists: Saturday and Sunday, 12-4pm
Imagine chatting with Thomas Edison, shaking hands with Robert Oppenheimer, or having your picture taken with Jacques Cousteau...Where else can you meet the Wright Brothers, Rachael Carson, or George Washington Carver? Look for them near the Mellon Auditorium (designated by stars on the Expo map) and don't be shy to ask your questions!

School Programs

School Programs

The USA Science & Engineering Festival connects schools with leading scientists and engineers throughout the entire school year with dedicated programs like Nifty Fifty and the X-STEM Symposium. The ‘Nifty Fifty’, presented by InfoComm International, are a group of noted professionals who will fan out across the Washington, DC area during the school year to speak about their work and careers at various middle and high schools. X-STEM - presented by MedImmune - is a special “Extreme” symposium for middle and high school students featuring interactive presentations by an exclusive group of visionaries who aim to empower and inspire kids about careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Watch speaker presentations from past events here.
