Apply Now to Host an Exhibit at the Finale ExpoThe USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo will be held April 28-29, 2012 in Washington, DC, and will give over 500 science organizations from all over the United States the opportunity to present themselves with a hands-on, fun science activity to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. The Finale Expo will be held Saturday, 4/28 (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET) and Sunday, 4/29 (10:00 AM - 4:00PM ET) at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Exhibitors will be required to set up on Friday and all exhibitors are expected to participate for the two full days. During that time, your booth needs to be staffed by warm, smiling faces at all times. Some exhibitors will be invited to participate in a Government and Schools Friday Sneak Peek Day (Invitees will be House, Senate and White House representatives and staffers and Government Agency representatives as well as underserved Schools from the Greater Washington, DC area). We select Exhibitors based on how your organization plans to present valid science and engineering principles in a novel, fun, educational, engaging, captivating and hands-on interactive format. Please provide as much detail below to help us make our decision. The inaugural Science Festival had 550 participating organizations and was SOLD OUT six months in advance of the event. Don't delay! While people of all ages will pass by your booth, the activity should be geared towards a 12th grade science understanding or below. We strongly recommend that you have a scientist or engineer at the booth at all times – kids love to “meet the scientist”! To see what other organizations did for their exhibit in 2010, click here. Fees:
Exhibitor Fee: $1,000 for non-profit organizations and $2,500 for companies who apply after September 15, 2011. This fee includes one 10x10 Festival tent, one table, two chairs, one 20 AMP electrical outlet, if needed. These rates are heavily discounted and subsidized by the USA Science & Engineering Festival sponsors and help us offset the tremendous cost of putting on an event of this caliber. If this exhibitor cost is prohibitive to your participation, we have a limited number of grants from Sponsors to cover some of the exhibitor costs. Please contact Lauren Raymond for details.
