As we have frequently reported, you can expect to meet some of the nation's foremost leaders and innovators in science at the Festival Expo's X-STEM Extreme STEM Symposium this April in Washington, D.C. And what better way to kick off this unforgettable event than by words from President Obama's Science Advisor, John Holdren, Ph.D.!
Dr. Holdren, who serves as senior advisor to the President on science and technology, will deliver the opening address at the X-STEM Symposium, April 24th at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center where some of the most inspiring luminaries in STEM will be gathered all day for engaging workshops and other interaction with middle school through high school students, teachers and others.
In his role with the President, Dr. Holdren, a noted aeronautics and plasma physics researcher, also serves as Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and Co-Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
At the symposium, he will join other notables in STEM -- including those in space exploration, robotics, green technology, storm chasing, quantum physics, the science behind Hollywood TV and film, oceanography, nanotechnology, biomimicry, and biotech entrepreneurial startups – in conducting and participating in hands-on workshops, live demonstrations and other exchanges with students.
