The XPRIZE Foundation, The Walt Disney Motion Picture Studio and Walt Disney Corporate Citizenship are launching a nationwide contest to find the real-life counterparts to the animated heroes that will soon burst onto the big screen in Disney's "Big Hero 6," an action-packed comedy-adventure from Disney in theaters and in 3D November 7, 2014.
This Disney Big Hero 6 — XPRIZE Challenge invites young people between the ages of 8 and 17 to come up with innovative ideas to tackle the biggest challenges facing our world using science, technology, engineering, art and/or mathematics. The entrants will present their ideas in a short video that will be judged on impact, originality and presentation. Six winners will travel to Los Angeles in early November to walk the red carpet at the premiere of Disney's "Big Hero 6," go behind the scenes at both Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering, and join a "Visioneering" session at XPRIZE headquarters.
